The Lakers and Hayes settled on a one-year contract, according to ESPN and The Athletic. Financial terms weren't reported.

In his second season with Los Angles in 2024-25, Hayes averaged 6.8 points, a career-high 4.8 rebounds and a career-best 1.0 assists in 56 games (35 starts).

The 25-year-old Texas player started the first four games of the Lakers' five-game defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs, contributing just 1.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.3 assists per contest.

The Lakers never brought him off the bench in their series-ending loss.

After getting selected eighth overall in the 2019 draft by the Atlanta Hawks, Hayes was immediately dealt to the Pelicans. He played four seasons in New Orleans, then signed with the Lakers in July 2023.

In 367 career NBA games (87 starts), Hayes has averages of 6.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 0.7 assists.

Ayton, 26, reportedly agreed to a two-year deal with the Lakers after the Portland Trail Blazers bought out his contract. He has career averages of 16.4 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 398 games (391 starts).

McLemore, 32, who last played in the NBA in 2022 with the Portland Trail Blazers, was found guilty on one charge of first-degree rape, one charge of first-degree unlawful sexual penetration and one count of second-degree sexual abuse by a jury in Clackamas County. He will be sentenced next Wednesday.

McLemore pled not guilty to those charges along with a fourth charge, an additional count of second-degree sexual abuse.

"We recognize there are those who fear individuals with celebrity status or a position of prominence can avoid prosecution," Clackamas County District Attorney John Wentworth said in a statement. "Not in Clackamas County. This case demonstrates my office prosecutes criminal acts regardless of the offender's community status."

McLemore was identified as a suspect after police investigated a sexual assault report in Lake Oswego, Ore., on Oct. 3, 2021.

The case went before a Clackamas County grand jury in February 2024, when the women who accused McLemore of assault provided testimony. Per Lake Oswego police, the grand jury put out an arrest warrant for McLemore and also issued an indictment against him.

McLemore was arrested by U.S. Marshals in April 2024.

The No. 7 overall pick by the Sacramento Kings in the 2013 draft, McLemore also played with the Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers and the Trail Blazers before heading overseas to continue his career.

In 556 NBA games (268 starts), McLemore averaged 9.0 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.

Dudley, who turns 40 next week, retired from the NBA in 2021 and immediately took on a role as an assistant coach with the Mavericks under head coach Jason Kidd.

Dudley is expected to move into the main assistant role under Adelman, who was named interim head coach of the Nuggets on April 8 when head coach Michael Malone was fired. Adelman was named the full-time head coach on May 22 after Denver advanced to the Western Conference semifinals.

In 14 NBA seasons with seven teams, including seven seasons with the Phoenix Suns, Dudley averaged 7.3 points with 3.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists over 904 games (286 starts). He won an NBA title in 2020 with the Los Angeles Lakers.

This move is among others on the Mavericks bench. ESPN reported Wednesday that Frank Vogel, who was the head coach of the Lakers in that 2019-20 championship season, is becoming Kidd's lead assistant.

In addition, ESPN said Dallas player development coach God Shammgod is moving to the Orlando Magic as an assistant coach.

Dallas also is bringing in point guard D'Angelo Russell on a two-year contract worth $13 million, ESPN reported on Monday. Irving is recovering from an ACL tear he suffered in March, and Russell may be asked to start at point guard until Irving is healthy early in 2026.

Exum has dealt with injuries, too, needing wrist surgery in October 2024 and also breaking his hand last season. Exum, who will be 30 on July 13, also sustained foot and knee injuries in the 2023-24 season, and he missed the entire 2015-16 season with a knee injury.

He played in 20 games (13 starts) last season for Dallas and averaged 8.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 18.6 minutes. In two seasons with the Mavericks, Exum has averaged 8.0 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 19.5 minutes in 75 games (30 starts).

The native of Australia was selected fifth overall in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz, where he played from 2014 to 2019. He spent parts of two seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers (2019-21) before playing two years in Europe.

For his NBA career, Exum averages 6.2 points, 1.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 18.8 minutes in 320 games (102 starts).

Ayton made headlines in recent days after he and his most recent team, the Portland Trail Blazers, mutually agreed to forgo the final year of his contract and negotiate a buyout, allowing him to reach free agency.

Between money owed to him by Portland and his new deal with Los Angeles, Ayton is set to earn $34 million this season, per reporting from ESPN.

Despite being a seven-year pro with 398 NBA games on his resume, Ayton is still just 26. His birthday is July 23.

A former No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns, Ayton has averaged 16.4 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game in 398 career games (391 starts). New Lakers teammate Luka Doncic was the No. 3 choice in that same draft.

He was a part of the 2018-19 All Rookie first team, though arguably his greatest achievement as a professional was being part of the Suns team that lost in a memorable series with Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Finals in 2021.

Portland acquired him as part of a three-team trade with Milwaukee and Phoenix that sent All-Star guard Damian Lillard from the Trail Blazers to the Bucks on Sept. 27, 2023.

The NBA adjusted Popovich's record after he missed the last 77 games of the 2024-25 season due to a stroke. The Spurs went 32-45 in those games, coached by Mitch Johnson.

Popovich, who relinquished his head-coaching duties after the season, now has a 1,390-824 record. He's still the record-holder by 55 wins over Don Nelson (1,335).

Johnson served as the interim coach after Popovich stepped aside five games into the season due to his health issues. The Spurs named Johnson the full-time coach when the 76-year-old Popovich stepped away to become a team president.

Popovich has won five NBA titles during his Hall of Fame head coaching career that began in 1996-97 with the Spurs. He guided San Antonio to an NBA record 18 straight 50-win seasons. The streak was snapped with a 47-35 record in 2017-18.

Brown, 55, was fired by the Sacramento Kings last December after two-plus seasons. He previously coached the Cleveland Cavaliers (2005-10) and Los Angeles Lakers (2011-12) and has a career record of 454-304.

Brown replaces Tom Thibodeau, who was fired a month ago after leading the Knicks to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time in 25 years.

The Knicks reportedly conducted a second interview with Brown on Tuesday and also were said to be considering former Charlotte Hornets head coach James Borrego and Minnesota Timberwolves assistant coach Micah Nori.

The Knicks cast a wide net to replace Thibodeau. They attempted to interview current head coaches -- including Jason Kidd of the Dallas Mavericks, Chris Finch of the Timberwolves and Ime Udoka of the Houston Rockets -- but were denied permission by those teams.

They also interviewed former Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins, as well as South Carolina championship-winning coach Dawn Staley for the opening.

Brown has won four NBA championships as an assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs (2003) and the Golden State Warriors (2017, 2018 and 2022). He led the Cavaliers to the 2006-07 NBA Finals, where they were swept by the Spurs.

The Grizzlies said Jackson is expected to make a full recovery on the injury he sustained while participating in offseason basketball activities.

The two-time All-Star is on the verge of agreeing to a five-year, $240 million deal with the Grizzlies, according to multiple reports.

The final season of the deal in 2029-30 is a player option, according to the report.

Jackson was the NBA Defensive Player of the Year for the 2022-23 season. He was an All-Star that season and again last season.

Jackson averaged 22.2 points per game last season, slightly behind the career-best 22.5 he put up one season earlier. He is averaging 18.5 points in 407 games (398 starts) over seven seasons in Memphis.

Jackson also has career averages of 5.5 rebounds, 1.9 blocked shots, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steal per game.

The Hornets allowed Mann to become an unrestricted free agent by declining to tender him a qualifying offer in the $7 million range, but moved quickly on the first day of free agency to lock him up.

Mann, 24, spent last year in Charlotte and appeared in just 13 games due to a significant back injury that cost him the final five months of the season. He was off to a strong start, averaging 14.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 24.5 minutes per game before the injury.

The Hornets acquired Mann from the Oklahoma City Thunder prior to the 2024 trade deadline. With the Thunder, who drafted him No. 18 overall in the 2021 NBA Draft, Mann averaged 8.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists over 140 games (31 starts).

Mann rejoins a backcourt that recently added Collin Sexton via trade with the Utah Jazz.

The Pistons are sending guard Simone Fontecchio to the Heat as part of the transaction.

Robinson spent seven seasons with the Heat and is the franchise's all-time leader with 1,202 career 3-pointers. Robinson set up the move by declining his $19.9 million early termination option over the weekend.

The 31-year-old Robinson will seek more playing time with the Pistons. He averaged 24.1 minutes per outing in 74 games (37 starts) with Miami last season. His career high of 31.4 minutes occurred in the 2020-21 season.

Robinson averaged 11.0 points and made 190 3-pointers last season. He has a career scoring average of 11.3 points in 423 games (283 starts).

Robinson knocked down 752 treys over a three-season span earlier in his career, topped by a career-best 270 in the 2019-20 season, a total that ties for 25th most in NBA history.

Robinson played the final three seasons of his college career at Michigan and was a member of the squad that lost to Villanova in the 2018 national championship game.

He wasn't selected in the 2018 NBA Draft and signed with the Heat as an undrafted free agent.

Per The Athletic, the deal is for the veteran minimum.

Hardaway, 33, was acquired last summer by the Detroit Pistons along with three draft picks from the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Quentin Grimes.

The shooting guard went on to become a key contributor in Detroit's resurgence in 2024-25 that resulted in the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs, where the Pistons lost to the New York Knicks in the first round.

Starting and appearing in 77 regular-season games for the Pistons, Hardaway averaged 11.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting 36.8 percent from 3-point range.

Denver has enjoyed an impressive haul in the early going of free agency, adding Jonas Valanciunas and Cameron Johnson via trade and inking returnee Bruce Brown Jr. in the period's first few days.

Oklahoma City general manager Sam Presti said Monday that Williams played through a torn ligament the entire postseason.

Williams, 24, averaged 23.6 points per game in the NBA Finals as the Thunder won their first league championship. He averaged 21.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists in the playoffs after being selected All-NBA Third Team in the regular season.

He first sprained his wrist in February. The tear occurred the final week of the regular season.

"The part that I'm most impressed with is, in our modern era, when someone has a poor performance or they're not playing to their capability in a game and there's a lot of attention on it, you often see a little birdie make sure that everybody knows that the player is not 100 percent," Presti said Monday of Williams. "Never happened with this guy. Not one time. He powered through. He showed incredible mental endurance and security in himself. I've said this many times: The best players are secure players. And I really thought it was pretty impressive that he just kept moving along with no excuses -- and obviously played his best basketball down the stretch of the season."

Presti said the wrist injury and surgery are routine. But the timeline for his recovery on Tuesday shifted from the start of the regular season to the 12-week mark, which puts Williams' return date in November.

"It's not an injury that people have a problem recovering from," Presti said at his end-of-season news conference Monday. "It's pretty common."

Poeltl is picking up his 2026-27 player option worth $19.5 million, and the Raptors will add three years to bring him through the 2029-30 season, according to the report.

Poeltl, 29, is coming off a career year with personal bests in points (14.5), rebounds (9.6) and steals (1.2) per game. The 7-footer added averages of 2.8 assists and 1.2 blocks.

In nine NBA seasons spent between Toronto (2016-18, 2023-25) and the San Antonio Spurs (2018-23), Poeltl has posted 8.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.3 blocks per contest across 595 games (341 starts).

Injuries limited him to 57 games last season for the Raptors and 50 the year before.

Schroder, 31, agreed to a three-year, $45 million contract after splitting the 2024-25 season with three teams.

The Kings receive journeyman big man Dario Saric from Denver in exchange for Valanciunas, who has two years and $20.4 million remaining on his contract. Sario has an expiring contract.

Schroder averaged 13.1 points, 5.4 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 75 games (49 starts) last season with the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors and Detroit Pistons.

He has career averages of 13.9 points, 4.9 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 842 games (424 starts) over 12 seasons with nine teams.

Valanciunas, 33, averaged 10.4 points and 7.7 rebounds in 81 games (21 starts) last season with the Kings and the Washington Wizards.

Valanciunas has career averages of 13.1 points and 9.3 rebounds in 937 games (848 starts) over 13 seasons with five franchises.

Saric, 31, appeared in 16 games (four starts) for the Nuggets in 2024-25 and averaged 3.5 points and 3.1 rebounds.

Saric has averaged 10.4 points and 5.3 boards in 493 career games (230 starts) with six teams over parts of eight NBA seasons.

The Bucks are stretching the remaining $113 million on Lillard's contract over the next five seasons, per the report, using the "stretch and release" provision in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Lillard is currently recovering from surgery in May to repair a torn Achilles tendon.

Turner spent his entire 10-year career with the Indiana Pacers. He agreed to a four-year, $107 million contract with Milwaukee, per ESPN. The deal reportedly includes a player option in the final season in 2028-29 and a 15 percent trade kicker, a bonus paid to Turner in the event he's traded.

Turner, 29, helped the Pacers reach the NBA Finals this season, losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder in seven games. He averaged 15.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in 72 starts in the regular season, and 13.8 points, 4.8 boards and 2.0 blocks in 23 starts in the postseason.

Lillard turns 35 on July 15 and faces a long rehab from the Achilles injury to return to top basketball form. A timeline hasn't been formally set, but he will likely miss a large chunk of the 2025-26 season and possibly all of it.

Lillard was hurt in the first quarter of the Bucks' 129-103 Game 4 loss to the Pacers in the first round of the playoffs on April 27. He missed the first game of that series and the last 14 games in the regular season with a blood clot in his calf.

Lillard averaged 24.9 points, 7.1 assists and 4.7 rebounds in 58 games during his second campaign with the Bucks. He spent his first 11 seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Lillard owns career averages of 25.1 points, 6.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 900 regular-season contests. His 2,804 3-pointers rank fourth in NBA history.

Turner leaves Indiana as the franchise's all-time leader in blocked shots (1,412). He also ranks sixth in games (642) and ninth in total rebounds (4,349).

The deal also includes a player option for the 29-year-old Frenchman, who returned to the NBA last season and averaged 11.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 70 games (43 starts) for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Drafted 16th overall by Boston in 2016, Yabusele played parts of two seasons (2017-19) with the Celtics before competing in the NBA G League, China, France and Spain.

The 6-foot-8, 265-pound Yabusele has career averages of 6.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 144 games (48 starts) with the Celtics and Sixers.

The deal runs through the 2030-31 season and at $71.35 million marks the highest annual salary in NBA history.

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid ranks second in the league with an AAV of $64.3 million, per Spotrac.

Gilgeous-Alexander was voted the Most Valuable Player of the 2024-25 season after averaging a league-high 32.7 points with 6.4 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 76 starts.

The three-time All-Star guard added Finals MVP honors after guiding the Thunder to the club's first championship in Oklahoma City, averaging 29.9 points, 6.5 assists and 5.3 rebounds in 23 playoff games.

The only other players in NBA history to win MVP, Finals MVP and a scoring title in the same season are Michael Jordan (four times), Shaquille O'Neal and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Gilgeous-Alexander, who turns 27 this month, has career averages of 24.4 points, 5.1 assists and 4.8 rebounds in 462 games (453 starts) with the Los Angeles Clippers (2018-19) and Thunder.

The Athletic reported that the Knicks have scheduled a second interview with Mike Brown, set for Tuesday.

In addition, James Borrego and Micah Nori also could get second interviews, according to Tuesday's report.

Clarkson, four years removed from being selected the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year, played just 37 games (nine starts) last season. He missed the final 10 games because of a medical procedure designed to alleviate plantar fasciitis in his left foot.

The 33-year-old guard averaged 16.2 points, 3.7 assists and 3.2 rebounds in the 2024-25 season. He shot a career-low 40.8 percent from the floor.

Clarkson was part of the 2017-18 Cleveland Cavaliers team that reached the NBA Finals before getting swept by the Golden State Warriors.

In 753 games (231 starts), Clarkson owns NBA averages of 16.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists.

Kevin Porter Jr.'s deal reportedly is worth $11 million, with Gary Trent Jr. to get $7.5 million and Taurean Prince to receive $7.1 million.

Milwaukee did lose one player on Monday, as big man Brook Lopez and the Los Angeles Clippers agreed to a two-year, $18 million contract, per multiple media reports.

Porter, 25, joined the Bucks in a February trade with the Los Angeles Clippers. He ended the season averaging 10.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists, down from his career norms of 13.9, 4.1 and 4.6 respectively, in 271 games (150 starts). He previously played for the Cleveland Cavaliers (2019-20) and Houston Rockets (2020-21 to 2022-23).

Trent, 26, just completed his first season with the Bucks, averaging 11.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists.

In 415 career NBA games, including 210 starts, with the Portland Trail Blazers (2018-19 to 2020-21), Toronto Raptors (2020-21 to 2023-24) and Milwaukee, Trent has averages of 13.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists.

Prince, 31, also has spent only one season in Milwaukee, producing 8.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists.

Overall in 582 games (344 starts) with the Atlanta Hawks (2016-17 to 2018-19), Brooklyn Nets (2019-20 to 2020-21), Cavaliers (2020-21), Minnesota Timberwolves (2021-22 to 2022-23), Los Angeles Lakers (2023-24) and the Bucks, Prince contributes 9.9 points, 3.6 boards and 1.7 assists.
