Northern Kentucky top scorer Marques Warrick joins Missouri

Marques Warrick, the all-time leading scorer in Northern Kentucky program history, announced Wednesday that he is transferring to Missouri.

Warrick scored 2,246 points in four seasons with the Norse and also ranks fifth in school history with 283 career 3-pointers. The 6-foot-2 guard ranks 11th in steals (142) and 15th in assists (290).

Warrick averaged 19.9 points in 33 games last season while earning first-team All-Horizon League honors.

Warrick had a career average of 18 points in 125 games (121 starts) at Northern Kentucky. He averaged 15.8 points as a freshman, 16.8 as a sophomore and 18.8 as a junior.

The 67 treys Warrick made last season were the third most of his career. He knocked down 87 as a junior and 76 as a sophomore.

Warrick was the Horizon League tournament MVP in 2023 when he guided the Norse to the title. Northern Kentucky then lost 63-52 to No. 2 seed Houston in the NCAA Tournament.

Warrick reportedly also considered Southern California, Penn State, Cincinnati and Seton Hall.

Warrick figures to have an opportunity to make an impact at Missouri. The Tigers were 8-24 last season, including a dreadful 0-18 in Southeastern Conference play.

Guard Tony Perkins (Iowa) and guard/forward Jacob Crews (UT Martin) previously committed to Missouri.
