The Toronto Maple Leafs announced the signing of forward Brendan Brisson to a one-year contract on Friday.
Terms were not disclosed, but multiple reports indicated it is a two-way deal worth $850,000 at the NHL level.
Brisson, 24, was a first-round pick (29th overall) by the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2020 NHL Draft.
He had one assist in three games with the New York Rangers last season, adding 37 points (19 goals, 18 assists) in 66 games at Hartford of the American Hockey League.
Brisson has collected nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 27 career NHL games with the Golden Knights and Rangers.
