From Chile to Arizona, from the net to the camera lens, Tindra Biedermann Åberg brings passion, focus, and an open heart to everything she does.

Tindra Biedermann Åberg isn’t your average goalkeeper. Originally from Chile, she brings a global perspective and quiet strength to the FC Tucson Women’s team—on and off the pitch.
From Chile to Arizona
When asked about the biggest cultural shift since moving to the U.S., Tindra laughs.
“The streets are wider, the parking is bigger—especially here in Arizona where people drive trucks,” she says.
Currently a student in Yuma, she’s surrounded by a diverse community, including many Spanish speakers. “It’s been really interesting and beautiful to connect with people from the U.S., Mexico, and other places.”
What She Misses Most
While she’s embraced life in the U.S., there are moments she longs for home.
“I really miss ‘once’—it’s kind of like teatime in Chile. You sit with your family, have bread and tea, sometimes instead of dinner. It’s this peaceful moment I miss a lot.”
Staying Grounded
To stay connected to her culture, Tindra turns to music and radio.
“I listen to music from back home and even stream sports radio from Chile sometimes. It keeps me grounded.”
Mental Strength in the Game
After a tough game or training week, Tindra avoids rushing into watching film.
“I give myself time to decompress before analyzing. If I watch the game right after, I’m still caught up in emotions or physical sensations. I want to be objective when I review.”
Team Chemistry
Now in her second season with FC Tucson, she values the team’s dynamic.
“We push each other to be better. It’s a really positive environment. I’ve loved coming back this year.”
If she could bring one teammate home to Chile, she’d choose Natalia, a fellow defender.
“She’s a great communicator on the field, and I love playing with her. She really understands the game.”
Dreaming Big
Her dream destination?
“Spain. I’ve never been, but my mom has. She says the people are amazing, the culture is warm. It sounds beautiful.”
Life Beyond Soccer
Off the field, Tindra expresses herself through photography.
“I love capturing sunsets, flowers, concerts—anything. I’ve got friends who are artists, and that helped me dive into photography as well.”
Her Life Quote
One quote that motivates her?
“It’s hard to beat someone who never gives up.”
“It stuck with me since I was 15. A soccer coach assigned us to find a quote that inspired us. I’ve lived by that ever since.”
Advice to the Next Generation
“Enjoy the journey,” she says. “Everyone talks about the destination, but every step along the way matters. You’ll look back and realize how special those moments were.”
