Tyler Harris scored 17 points and Duke Miles added 15 as Vanderbilt cruised past Eastern Kentucky 92-62 Wednesday in Nashville, Tenn.
Harris co-led the Commodores (3-0) with seven rebounds, including six defensive boards.
Tyler Tanner had 13 points and Devin McGlockton and AK Okereke had 11 each in a balanced attack for Vanderbilt.
MJ Williams led all scorers as he poured in 20 for the Colonels (1-2) of the ASUN Conference.
Vanderbilt shot 52% from the field as the Southeastern Conference school hit 36 of 69 shots.
The Commodores bolted out to a 16-5 lead as Miles poured in eight right away, making 2 of 3 three-pointers.
Vanderbilt extended the lead to 20-7 with 12:03 left in the half as the Commodores were hitting 58.3% of their shots and the Colonels were only hitting 20%.
Tanner hit his second three-pointer of the game with 8:50 left to give the Commodores a 29-9 lead.
Harris and Miles finished the half with 10 each as Vanderbilt cruised to a 45-27 lead at the break.
Harris also had four rebounds, including three defensive rebounds.
The Commodores shot 58.1% from the floor (18 of 31) and 42.9% from beyond the 3-point line (6 of 14) in the first half.
The Colonels hit just 34.6% (9 of 26) of their shots and hit only 4 of 14 three-point attempts.
The Commodores scored 10 of the first 15 points of the second half to take a 55-32 lead.
Tanner scored the last five of the run with a three-point play with 17:33 left and then a steal and layup with 16:51 left in the game.
The Commodores extended their lead to 30 by scoring seven straight points in the next 1:51.
Tyler Nickel hit a three-pointer and Okereke scored four straight with a jumper and a dunk for a 62-32 lead with 15 minutes left.
