Carter Bryant NBA Draft night press conference

NEW YORK — Arizona freshman Carter Bryant realized one of his childhood dreams on Wednesday night when he was selected by the San Antonio Spurs with the 14th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft at the Barclays Center.

“(Carter) is super versatile,” said Spurs General Manager Brian Wright. “He’s a big wing who we think can guard four positions and he spaces the floor well. He’s a really good athlete, a smart young kid. He’s got the right character that we look for. We think he adds a new dimension to this team going forward.”

Bryant becomes the 80th player in Arizona history to be selected in the NBA Draft. He is the 17th Wildcat selected in the lottery, the 28th first round pick in program history and the fifth draft pick for head coach Tommy Lloyd in his four seasons at Arizona.
