TUCSON — Pima basketball teams closed out their regular season with two important victories against Scottsdale at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium. The women’s team battled hard to secure a 70-62 win, while the men’s team delivered a dominant 122-57 victory. The games marked the final step before both team’s head into the playoffs, ending the regular season on a strong note.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
The Pima women’s basketball team battled their way to a hard-fought 70-62 victory over Scottsdale. The Aztecs exhibited a balanced offensive attack combined with staunch defense to fend off their opponents.
The team-maintained composure during critical moments, with key contributions from their starting lineup and bench players. This victory marks another step forward in their season, as they continue to build momentum.
The Pima women’s basketball team showed great determination to finish their season strong. The game was competitive from the start, with both teams trading baskets.
The Aztecs stayed composed, using strong defense and smart plays to maintain their lead. With this win, the women’s team finished the regular season with a 20-10 overall record and 12-6 in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC).

MEN’S BASKETBALL
The Pima men’s basketball team closed out their perfect regular season with an impressive 122-57 win.

This commanding win highlights the team’s cohesion and readiness for the remainder of the season.
The Aztecs’ fast-paced offense and solid defense overwhelmed Scottsdale, giving Pima their 30th win of the season.
The team finished 30-0 overall and 18-0 in the ACCAC, entering the Division II Region I tournament as the top seed.
