A view from the Cheap Seats

What a run by the University of Arizona’s Baseball team.  From a team that wasn’t sure what hit them last year when the pandemic shut down the season to the College World Series is something that anyone who roots for the University of Arizona can be proud.  For the seniors that put off trying to make their way to play professional baseball I don’t know of any group that has gone through a bigger roller coaster than they did.  To put together a season that ends up in Omaha will go down in history.  For those that made their way out to Hi Corbett Field I will quote Brain Jeffries “Savor the Moment”,  We saw history this season.

Speaking of baseball, for the life of me I can not figure what in the world MLB is thinking.  Did they really think that they could change the rules on the field in the MIDDLE of the season and it would go smoothly.  Couldn’t they see that pitchers were not going to like it?  Is it any surprise that someone was going to react like Segio Romo did last night?

Or that a manager was going to do what ever he could do within the game to get an advantage like Joe Girardi did last night when the Phillies faced the Nats?

Everyone on the radio today has an opinion.  Here is mine, all of this mess lies at the feet of MLB for mishandling a situation they caused without thinking this through.
